American Wagyu Beef Shanks - Osso Buco Beef osso buco, also known as braised beef shanks, is a traditional Italian dish that consists of slow-cooked beef shanks in a rich, flavorful sauce.  The term "osso buco" translates to "bone with a hole," referring to the marrow-filled bone in the center of the dish that enhances the flavor and adds a unique texture!   These also make really great dog treats!  Our livestock guardian dogs love it when they get a beef shank every once in a while!
