Weekly Meal Plan featuring ChopLocal Meats

02/24/2021

Are you running out of ideas for supper? Tawnya to the rescue! She's rounded up 5 mouthwatering recipes, keeping ChopLocal's vendors and meats at the center of the plate.

(To see other weekly meal plans, click here.)

Meats featured this week include:

Bacon

Ground Beef

Ribeye Steak

Pesto Turkey Meatballs

And remember, you can get all of these meats (and many, many others) directly from farmers, butchers and small businesses, right here on the ChopLocal marketplace!

Alright, enough jibber-jabber! Let's get to the recipes!

Parmesan Bacon Ranch Spaghetti

This amazing recipe has tons of flavor, partly becuase the spaghetti is cooked in chicken broth and milk. Cook your bacon in advance and this becomes a really quick, one-pan weeknight meal. (Of course, the problem with cooking bacon in advance is that it might get eaten before it's time for supper!) Check out the recipe from Nichole at The Salty Marshmallow here.

John Wayne Casserole

Casseroles are the ultimate comfort food, right? And this Tex-Mex version checks all the boxes! Biscuits layered with ground beef, onions, peppers, cheese, mayo, sour cream and taco seasoning make up this delicious meal. Check out the full recipe from Amanda's Cookin.

Cheeseburger in a Bowl

This is a favorite at Tawnya's house! Cook bacon and ground beef, make a homemade version of Big Mac sauce, and layer your favorite burger toppings on a bed of salad. Full recipe (and some great tips!) from Whisk it Real Gud.

Garlic Butter Ribeye

It's not quite grilling season in the midwest, but it IS possible to cook an amazing steak without the grill! In fact, we have a whole blog post about it! For this garlic butter ribeye, add butter and garlic towards the end, when the steak is almost done, and spoon the butter over the top of the steak for great flavor. Click here for more information about cooking steak on the stove-top.

Pesto Turkey Meatballs

These pesto turkey meatballs from Old Station Craft Meats make for a super simple meal. Just bake until the internal temperature reaches 165, and serve over pasta! Get your turkey meatballs here.

And there you have it! Five great recipes to try out with your family!

Be sure to save this blog post to pinterest so that you can find it again when you're hungry and looking for new ideas.

And in the meantime, check out all of our amazing meats here.
