Edward & Rebecca Dalton (along with their 3 sons) Isaac, Lucas and Simon are the 7th generation at Dalton Farms LLC in Wakeman, OH! When they took over the farm, they had a feeling of obligation but have since found it to be their passion with a specific goal in mind - grow a healthy and affordable product.
They knew that in order to be sustainable for years to come, they would need to make changes to current practices. Although change is scary, they felt it was necessary. In 2019, they decided to transition half of their 2000-acre farm to organic production and started growing organic crops for the first time in years.
In addition to organic crops, they farm 1000 acres of conventional crops, raise beef and collaborate with other local farms to supply farm raised meat to their customers like chicken and pork. It is important to them that the meat they are raising and selling be all natural and raised on a local family farm. No added hormones. No unnecessary antibiotics. You won’t find better quality for the price!

Ground lamb is a versatile staple that brings a gourmet twist to everyday meals.
Ground lamb is made by grinding cuts of lamb meat, often from the shoulder or leg, with a balanced fat content to ensure tenderness and flavor. It's an excellent alternative to ground beef and can be used in a wide variety of dishes from burgers to Mediterranean classics.
Bold Flavor – Rich, slightly earthy flavor that elevates everyday meals.
Versatile – Great for meatballs, burgers, tacos, stuffed peppers, or shepherd’s pie.
Globally Inspired – A key ingredient in Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and Indian cuisine.
Quick Cooking – Cooks fast and evenly, ideal for weeknight dinners.
Ground lamb can be sautéed, grilled, or roasted depending on the recipe.
Season well with spices like cumin, coriander, garlic, mint, and rosemary.
Sauté in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through.
Drain excess fat and use in pasta sauces, wraps, or rice bowls.
Cook to an internal temperature of 160°F for safety and optimal flavor.
Ground lamb is a lean source of protein and high in zinc, iron, and B vitamins.
It’s a staple in dishes like moussaka, kefta, kofta, lamb gyros, and lamb curry.
